Oron Stenesh in O'ver the Hill
Don't miss the Kalamazoo stop on the national tour of "O'ver the Hill," immediately followed by a Gala Reception!
In "O'ver The Hill," Oron ruminates on turning 40 through songs and stories spanning composers from Paul McCartney to Jason Robert Brown, and characters including presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar and presidential playmate Stormy Daniels. The incomparable Joey Clark joins on piano.

Oron Stenesh brings his unique brand of cabaret to Kalamazoo, by way of Minneapolis and New York City (the other two stops on the tour). Oron sings, dances, spits spoken word on the mic, gets political, and generally enjoys himself and encourages you to do the same at his "O" shows. Most recently, he played Minneapolis's Bryant Lake Bowl in "HerniO: Stories of Strains." His Minneapolis debut was, naturally, "Minne-O-polis." In New York, Oron received a 2011 MAC Award Nomination for "The Big 3-0" and also performed "Olection" and "The O Train" at the Duplex. He toured "Olection" to Chicagos Davenport's Piano Bar.
Backstage's David Finkle writes: [Stenesh] has all sorts of other things whooshing up from some molten talent core within him...there should be no stopping him. Any performer with a modicum of smarts can add polish, but not everyone has the abundant Robin Williams-like promise that the hyperkinetic Stenesh has.
Oron spent 8 years in New York City as a musical theatre actor. Selected theatre credits include an International Tour of Fame (as Schlomo), Babes in Toyland (Lincoln Center), Far Away (New York Theatre Workshop), A Stoop on Orchard Street (Off Broadway/Mazer), A Christmas Carol (McCarter), and Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel (Theatreworks/USA). He has also appeared on "One Life to Live" as Walt, an orderly that escorted a crazy person to a psych ward before being unceremoniously jettisoned from the ambulance when it ran off the road! Oron is a graduate of Northwestern University's Theatre and Musical Theatre programs, attendee at the 2007 Cabaret Conference at Yale University, and member of Twin Cities Cabaret Artists Network (TCCAN).
