Paul King Quintet Holiday Jam
Renowned Detroit crooner Paul King and his Quintet will be the featured performers at St. Johns Episcopal Churchs festive holiday concert Wednesday December 11th. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
The Concert will feature classics from the American Songbook, with plenty of holiday turns sure to get you in the Christmas spirit! Its the perfect break from the rush of the Holidays
Influenced heavily by the great jazz, swing and soul crooners, Paul King is renowned for his smooth tone, stirring repertoire, sophisticated style, and eloquent phrasing.
Typically, fronting Detroits Rhythm Society Orchestra (RSO) you can also find Paul singing with Detroits best musicians at various venues and supper clubs throughout the Motor City area, including the Dirty Dog Jazz Café, Cliff Bells, the London Chop House, the Willis Show Bar & the Detroit Club.
The Paul King Quintet features Tom Dennis on Piano, Jeff Pedraz on Bass, Rob Avsharian on Drums and Dave Tatrow on Trumpet.
Signature Cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) created especially for the event will be featured.
Proceeds from the event will go toward a fundraising campaign to provide better accessibility and much-needed structural improvements to the building that houses the Open Hands Food Pantry (the largest in Oakland County) and the New to You resale shop.
