Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement Winter Intensive
Train with Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement Company members, who are leading professional dancers in their field, from all over the country!  

Train for two days with our amazing faculty or train for the first day and on the second day, learn an original piece of choreography to be performed at Chadash's Beacon concert, directly preceding one of the shows.

Classes include ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and improvization.

DATES: December 27th & 28th
TIMES: 9-4 (Four 90 Minute classes with an hour lunch break)
AGES: 8-18

Faculty Bios:

Abigail Hardy

Abigail Hardy graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Belhaven Universitys renowned dance department, having studied ballet and modern performance as well as choreography and receiving dance honors and awards for outstanding service and artistic achievement. She has worked with teachers and choreographers from Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Houston Ballet, José Limón, Milwaukee Ballet, Dance Company Mooe, and The Royal Ballet. From 2013-2014, Hardy was a member of Bal Mahada Dance company on an international tour throughout South Korea. She is a member of the National Honors Society for Dance and an active artist of faith in the dance field. Since 2016, Hardy has operated as the Ballet Director and Company Director for Epicenter for the Arts. In 2017 Abigail and her husband Vincent Hardy founded the Zion Dance Project, a platform for believer artists to release the light of Christ in professional works, through video and performance. Hardy danced as an Artist with Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement in 2016, 2017, and is grateful to be apart of Beacon for the 2019-2020 season.


Camille D.C. Sutton

Camille D.C. Sutton is a founding dance artist with Zion Dance Project and dance workshop host of The Dwelling Workshopa spiritual embodiment workshop for movers of all backgrounds. Shes trained with artists such as Christopher Huggins (Alvin Ailey), Carol Anglin, Dianne Maroney-Grigsby (Alvin Ailey), Billy Sigenfield (JumpRhythm Jazz), Jon Lehrer, and Joe Tremaine. While earning her BFA in Dance Performance from SMU, Meadows School of the Arts, she performed works by Martha Graham, Shen Wei, Bill T. Jones, and Jawolle Jo Zollar (Urban Bush Women). Studying at Londons Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance, Gary Lambert (Rambert Ballet) selected her for his movement research. Post-graduation she worked under the artistic direction of Randall Flinn at Ad Deum Contemporary Dance Company, and now dances under the direction of Vincent Hardy and Abigail Hardy with Zion Dance Project, now in her third year. She's incredibly grateful to be a part of the Chadash Dance community this season.


Jason Poullard

Riverside native, Jason Poullard, developed a passion for the performing arts in the Worship Arts Ministries at Fountain of Love Christian Center in Pomona when he was eleven years old. At eighteen, Jason began his formal dance training and continued his theater arts training at the University of California, Irvine, culminating his performance and choreographic work with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Bacherlor of Arts in Drama. He has worked with esteemed choreographers, Tracy Bonner and Pavel Zustiak, performed with Lawrence and Sarma Rosenburgs Anaheim Ballet, Dr. S. Ama Wrays JazzXchange, and played the lead in The Brown Bomber Project for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad Festival in London, England. Jason trains and performs in Artistic Director, Pat Taylors signature Afro-modern jazz style and technique as a Principal Dancer and Residency Assistant with JazzAntiqua Dance & Music Ensemble in Los Angeles, his seventh season, and in Kelly Archer and Judi Daniel's contemporary dance theater technique as a Principal Dancer and Master Class Teacher with Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement, his third season. He also performs and teaches with Deborah Brockuss Brockus:RED and Grete Gryzwanas Epiphany Dance West.


Kristen Holleyman

Kristen Holleyman is an internationally award-winning choreographer, soloist, teaching artist and filmmaker who explores themes of Spirit-consciousness, eco-consciousness, cultural inclusion, womens empowerment, improvisation, able-ism, site specificity, mental health and transformation on momentary, personal, global and historical scales. Her recent choreographic highlights include sharing work as a finalist in Mexicos Bodies in Transit 4x4 Dance Festival, Top 10 Finalist for her solo "Left Feet" at American College Dance Festival 2019, touring work "5" at Quinzena de Dança Almada International Dance Festival Lisbon 2019, and debuting "Lacunae" a site specific, multimedia MFA concert at the University of Colorado, October 2019. Kristen is a multi-creative teaching artist with twelve years experience in six countries, teaching master classes, workshops, university courses, as well as bilingual, at-risk and special needs communities. She is currently an M.F.A. candidate in choreography with an emphasis in film and somatics (currently a Gyrokinesis apprentice) at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she teaches courses such as Experimental Contemporary Dance, Ballet, and is T.A. for Dancing Histories.
