Girl Tales Holiday Event With Drag Queen Story Hour!
Happy Holidays!
Come join Girl Tales Podcast & Drag Queen Story Hour at New Women Space in Williamsburg for a holiday story time of Girl Tales' original children's story, Rudy the Female Reindeer by Delaney Yeager. The story will be read by four performers including drag performer, Miz Jade playing Mrs. Claus!
Kids & families will get the chance to take professional pictures with Miz Claus before the story time!* That's way more fun than pics with those typical mall Santas.
We will also have a feminist photo booth, holiday face painting, and a temporary tattoo station for all to enjoy.

Where: New Women Space (188 Woodpoint Rd in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Between Jackson St. and Skillman Ave. Take the L train to the Graham Ave stop)

How Much? $5 for admission & $25 for a photo with Miz Claus
Recommended for children age 4-10 years old though all are welcome**
About Rudy the Female Reindeer:
Rudys had a dream her whole life; to make Santas sleigh team. But, its a boys club and this year is no exception. Nevertheless, with the help of her parents, Carol Claus, and her good friend Frosty Tips the Snow Maam, Rudy persists. Listen as Rudy saves Christmas!

What is Drag Queen Story Hour?
Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds likedrag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.
*Please note there is an additional fee for pictures with Drag Santa. That package can be purchased separately on Brown Paper Tickets or at the event.
** Children age 3 and under are free of charge. Please note this is not a baby-proof space and has stairs without a baby gate.
