Please join us for an extraordinary dance program: LIFT/UPLIFT that serves as a climactic conclusion to the filming of the feature-length documentary, LIFT, directed and produced by David Petersen, produced by Mary Recine, co-producer Martha Southgate and executive produced by Sam Pollard. Eight years in the making, the film follows a group of remarkable children from underprivileged backgrounds who train to become classical ballet dancers, and embrace the discipline, passion, and beauty of ballet to transform their lives and step from the street to the New York stage.
