To The Ends of The Earth
Music has the power to sweep you away to exotic faraway lands or twenty-thousand leagues under the sparkling sea! Travel TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH in your wildest imaginings at the Mission Masquerade Ball as we salute Tri-City Champion of the Arts and Culture Dirk Lorenz, proprietor of Fremont Flowers, and Music at the Mission Volunteer of the Year honoree Len Gasiorek.
Enjoy an evening of "Outside the Box" entertainment, a wide variety of appealing auction items, fine dining, and, as always, wonderful surprises to entertain you and your table of friends!
The evening's entertainment begins the minute you step foot into the ballroom, with a wonderful multi-media performance by the Music at the Mission Chamber Players. Memorable moments are promised throughout the evening, including a "Fund The Passion" performance featuring a young ChamberFest student.
Throughout the evening, you'll be able to watch 'extreme colorist' Jeff Albrecht channeling the theme and energy of the MAM Masquerade Ball as he creates a painting to be auctioned off at the end of the night. Be sure to check out Mr. Albrecht and his work on his website! HIs work is in private collections around the world.
In addition to the silent auction, there will be a fast-paced live auction of five special auction packages: Tropical Adventure, Luxury, Wine, Artwork, and for immediate gratification, Dessert & Champagne for Your Table!
And let's not forget the mouthwatering menu! For Starters there is Apple Butternut Soup with Creme Fraiche and Roasted Beet Salad with Chevre, Pomegranate Seeds, Arugula, Champagne Dressing with Balsamic Glaze.
Entrees:
Cabernet Braised Short Ribs accompanied by Cheddar Cheese Grits and Roasted Artichoke Hearts with Baby Carrots.
Or
Lemon Pepper Airline Chicken*, accompanied by Rustic Potato Au Gratin and Roasted Artichoke Hearts with Baby Carrots
Or
Tuscan Ratatouille Tart: Fire roasted zucchini, yellow squash, red onions, bell peppers, herbs, mushrooms, herb cheese and ricotta in a sundried tomato cog shell and served with a roasted red pepper sauce.
Dessert is Tiramisu with Marbled Chocolate Gears.
*Airline Chicken is a beautiful boneless breast of chicken with the first joint of the wing attached, which enhances the flavor and keeps the chicken from drying out. Some say this delicious dish got its name because it was served to first-class luxury passengers on Pan Am "back in the day" and the name stuck.
