Organ Recital - Elodie Marchal
Last April, Elodie Marchal performed at Clarendon UMC with La Maîtrise de Reims when they stopped here on their two-week east coast tour. Elodie is returning to the US to perform solo recitals on the East and West Coasts with diverse organ repertoire from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods. The recital ends with a whimsical finish! A reception will follow the recital.

Elodie Marchal began her music education at a very young age and knew immediately her future was in music. Beginning with her piano and accompaniment studies at the Reims Conservatory, she diversified her music education by learning to play the organ with the studio of Pierre Méa.

In 2001, she obtained the Piano Concert Diploma and the First Organ Certificate of Improvement as well as two first prizes at the Reims Conservatory.
In 2003, Elodie entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Paris to further her organ studies. For four years, she studied in the organ studios of Olivier Latry and Michel Bouvard, and apprenticed improvisation with Thierry Escaich and Philippe Lefevre. In 2006, she obtained the basso continuo first prize, and in 2007, she passed her final organ exams with the highest marks.

Elodie has studied and worked with notable organists including Michel Chapuis, Bernard Hass, Eric Lebrun, Michael Radulescu, Louis Robilliard, and Wolfgang Zerer. She also worked with keyboard artists Georges Pludermacher and David Sellig in master classes and for special training periods in organ.

Regularly in demand as a solo keyboard artist and as a collaborative musician, Elodie is also the organ teacher and accompanist at Conservatoire à rayonnement communal Jean-Philippe Rameau. Additionally, she is the organist at the Châlons Cathedral in Châlons-en-Champagne, France. Elodie lives in Mairy-sur-Marne, France, with her husband and two young children.
