The Spanish River Theatre Department 2019 One Act Festival
The Spanish River Theatre Department's 2019 One Act Festival is here! It's four shows, all in one night!
Fallout (directed by Juliana Laskow): Set in the midst of the Cuban Missile Crisis, Fallout focuses on the couple of Harold and Janet. Harold wants to protect himself and his wife, whatever it takes, and Janet just wants him to stop being so paranoid.
Sure Thing (directed by Samantha Blackwood): In a coffee shop, a young man named Bill strikes up a conversation with a woman reading a book named Betty. The twist is, however, that whenever the conversation isn't going the way one wants, a bell is rung and the conversation rolls back to give them another try.
Property Rites (directed by Alex Sherman): Kyle Macmanus is deep in debt, and he bets on 8 robots called "figures" as his way out. As with all technology, however, the robots are far from perfect, and hijinks ensue.
The Lottery (directed by Alex Sherman): In this town, the annual lottery is the way of life. The prize is unconventional, and some have questioned it. But tradition reigns supreme, and there can be only one winner.
