Creating Sparks, a 101 Electrical Play Workshop
Interested in getting into electrical play?
Bought a violet wand and wanting to become better acquainted?
What else is there to violet wand play than using those pretty glowing direct glass attachments?
Electricity often brings up fears of being shocked in a way that closes off individuals from enjoying what can be a very intimate form of play. While it can be scary, it can also be exciting and stimulating. It can be used to enhance nearly any other scene you can imagine. Electrical play varies from soft, soothing, and therapeutic to more extreme sensations such as sharp, stingy, cutting, and even burning. Certain toys like shock racquets rely more on the anticipation of their electrical discharge than pain. The violet wand itself can even go so far as to semi-permanently (temporarily, but long term) brand an individual in a form of electrical cautery.
Bring out your electric toys and come perform some mad science. The focus will be on the violet wand for this class, but we will brush into other topics as time permits. As with other classes, there will be hands on demos and practice time available.
We will cover:
*Safety - When it comes to electricity it never hurts to cover your bases.
*Research - What to look for in a Violet Wand kit/bag.
*Solid State vs Mechanical
*What are all of these attachments?
*Direct vs Indirect Play
*Pervertables - Designing new toys out of old items and understanding what they may do.
*Violet Wand Branding - Purposefully marking with the violet wand.
*Estim / TENS / PES / Other shock toys?!
As the instructor for this class, Grok_Kintari, has been participating in kink communities for 15 years in MN and another 3 in WA. During that time he has mentored several individuals on electric play, primarily with the Violet Wand. Additionally having taught the basics of violet wand branding in a MSDB Lab - Violet Wand class as well as doing demos and tastings. Primarily a Top, however a certain level of sadomasochism accompanies indirect contact violet wand play that results in experiencing the pain as it is being distributed.
His start in electrical play was the result of a car accident and the use of a TENS for therapy. This led to experimentation and eventually like all gateways, to an expensive toy, an antique violet wand. A couple years later that experimentation led to a poorly documented area of violet wand use, branding. At the time of the writing of this, he has accomplished near 1000 brands from small adhoc ones to large drawn out designs. If youve seen his scenes with Rana, they have taken on an even more dynamic dandelion flow. He is willing to share the tips and tricks of his kink life so that you can set a foundation for safe electrical play.

This workshop is going to encourage active participation, but we want to make sure we have an educational and comfortable experience for everyone involved. We follow these principals of teaching consent:

The instructor will inform the workshop attendees of anyone working as a teaching assistant bottom, as well as any of their pre-negotiated rules regarding how the bottom will participate to make sure that attendees are given full awareness of consent.
