Impact 102: Rough Body Play and Throwing Your Weight Around
Sometimes you have to leave your toys at home, sometimes you want to get up close and personal, sometimes it is a better connection with your primal self, but for whatever reason you're playing with your partner without any toys at all.
For many of us, rough personal play creates a physical connection to our partner and ourselves that you simply cannot get in any other ways. When you use your hands, your feet, your fists, your teeth, your whole body to engage with your partner you can form connections, read their body and maybe even experience BDSM in a way that you've never enjoyed before.
We intend this class for those with a basic understanding of impact play with toys, setting a scene, and for those looking to expand skills and approach impact play in a more physical way as we use every aspect of our body and our bottom's body in order to create a meaningful and intense BDSM experience. We will also discuss safety issues involved with this form of intense play as well. As we explore rough body play in different ways, we will cover:
* Pressure and Trigger Point Manipulation for Play
* Punching, Kicking and throwing weight into Strikes In Safe and Effective Ways
* Flesh Grabbing and Pulling for Intense Sensation
* Body Weight Manipulation and Pressure
* Using Your bottom's Weight To Enhance Pain
* Kicking, Stomping and Grinding, Boot Play
* Making the most of your Impact Play when you aren't Built Like a Body-Builder
Each section will have opportunities for audience participation and practice; there will also be a period at the end of the class to try out the various techniques discussed in this participation class.
We encourage participants with varying levels of athleticism and fitness to participate in this class; you do not need to be a fighter to enjoy rough body play either as a top, or as a bottom. We also encourage you to bring a partner, or partners to this class, or we hope you make friends quickly for the participation portion of the class.
As the Instructor for this class, Geoffrey Quick has been a participant in the kink community for over ten years, and has been teaching for over 4 years. Being a feral sadist, feline personality, and switch Geoffrey has adapted many traditional rough-body play techniques to match his personal style and work with those that may not be the most athletic of play participants. He offers his experience learning and developing his style in the hopes that everyone comes out of the class with a new approach to their personal play style.

This workshop is going to encourage active participation, but we want to make sure we have an educational and comfortable experience for everyone involved. We follow these principals of teaching consent:
No One is required to participate in anything that makes them uncomfortable. If at any time you feel pressure to participate, you should feel free to speak to a representative of the space during or after the class or workshop.
You are not expected to contribute to the discussion in any way if you do not wish to.
The instructor will inform the workshop attendees of anyone working as a teaching assistant bottom, as well as any of their pre-negotiated rules regarding how the bottom will participate to make sure that attendees are given full awareness of consent.
If there is something unclear in the workshop, you are not required to request clarification at the time, if you wish private clarification, the instructor will give contact information so you may get that clarification if needed.
