This event features an originally-scripted & narrated production entitled You Are My True Reflection: The Secret Letters of Radha and Krishna. This theatrical/dance production explores and expands upon one of the most deeply romantic and deeply loved motifs in Indian art & faith: the love of the deity Krishna for the common village woman Radha.
In addition to this, Dances of India company dancers will present classical Bharata Natyam pieces.
Guest artists will also add some exciting fusion to the performance! Patrick Suzeau, a Professor of Dance at Kansas University-Lawrence will present a contemporary/classical Indian (Odissi style) piece.
And we are delighted to be collaborating with the fabulous Ashleyliane Dance Company to present an innovative Thillana. (Bharata Natyam piece)
