WORKSHOP - The Art of Connection with Judith Stein
Sharing her knowledge and expertise from a nearly 50 year international burlesque career, Judith will take take you on a journey as you discover and liberate your glorious inner vamp. These fun and empowering workshop is peppered with Judith's sassy stories and tidbits on the history of burlesque. Judith teaches techniques to use at home, on the dance floor, or on stage. No dance experience needed, just your desire to explore, learn, and have fun in a safe and respectful space.

About the Instructor:
JUDITH STEIN, The Lady Divine got her start in the 1970's as a go-go dancer in Eugene, Oregon and quickly developed her own unique combination of elegant and comedic striptease that took her to the far corners of the world to perform. Recognized by both the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas and the Canadian Burlesque Hall of Fame, Ms. Stein is known as Canada's "Grand Beaver." Her dynamic performances and cheeky wit have made her a beloved feature attraction at burlesque festivals and shows all over North America and Europe and she was featured in the award winning documentary, The League of Exotique Dancers.
THE TWIN CITIES BURLESQUE ACADEMY, (formerly Playful Peacock) the first school of its kind in the Twin Cities, was founded by Ophelia Flame and Gina Louise, who have been performing together since 2003 and teaching burlesque workshops since 2005. The belief that there's a bit of showpony in all of us is the drive behind their mission: to teach burlesque technique, performance, and history while encouraging self-expression and body confidence, welcoming students of all levels and backgrounds. The Academy offers performance opportunities, bachelorette parties & special events.
