Basque Culinary Center Dinner Series
Basque Culinary Center Dinner Series
On Monday, August 12th, Mateo Bar de Tapas will host an inaugural benefit to launch the Basque Culinary Center Dinner Series, partnering with chefs around the country to sponsor a deserving young culinarian the opportunity to study at the Center in San Sebastián.
We will be offering two options for guests to engage the fundraising event: starting at 6pm, our bar will feature assorted pintxos and beverages for $30 per ticket ($25 for agriculture, hospitality, and industry workers); at 7:15pm, we will feature a five-course, sit-down dinner for $150 per ticket.
For this initial dinner, we are excited to host Chef Justin Severino from Morcilla in Pittsburgh, Chef Kyle Bailey from Salt Line in Washington, DC, and Chef Krystle Swenson from Crawford & Son in Raleigh; wherein each will contribute a course to the evenings menu alongside beverage pairings by Craig Heffley from Wine Authorities.
The Basque Culinary Center is a premier culinary institution in San Sebastián facilitating education, research, and training in the gastronomic sciences. (For more information, see their website: https://www.bculinary.com/es/home)
