Weve been barely able to keep our cool waiting to present to you one of our most incredible sessions of 2019:: JUICE welcomes the mighty LENZMAN (The North Quarter / Netherlands) to Portland on his North American tour for the just-released critically acclaimed album Bobby! Into this amazing soulful mix we blend very special guests RoyGreen (of RoyGreen & Protone / Fokuz / Liquid V / Vienna, Austria), *and* MC Fava (Hospital / Spearhead / Germany) both for their debut appearances in Portland! Lenzman is a Drum & Bass producer creating his own soulful sound which rises above trends and pushes the genre to new depths. The Dutch artist has recently launched his critically acclaimed new label The North Quarter as he continues to release music on Metalheadz.
His fluid approach to making music brings together glimmering samples and bold collaborations set against the backdrop of his signature melancholic style. Since the release of his debut album on Metalheadz Looking At The Stars Lenzman has delivered some of the scenes most genre-defying moments and gained a loyal and burgeoning fanbase eagerly awaiting his next move.
A label named after the area he grew up in, The North Quarter is Lenzmans soulful exploration into new territories and encapsulates his Hip Hop, Soul and Jazz influences. The imprint releases his own music as well as music from other artists, merging together vocalists and musicians from different worlds to create a deeper and more resonating experience for Drum & Bass fans.
Lenzmans live sets are like his music: fearless and undiluted. Bogotá, Bangkok, Toronto, London and New York when hes not in the studio, he has a busy tour schedule drawing crowds and packing out clubs and festivals across the globe.

MC Fava already started his career back in 2001 when he was responsible for the Jungle Club events in his hometown Freiburg. He is a chameleon on the Mic capable of hosting all styles of Drum & Bass but certainly feels most comfortable if more melodic sounds leave him space to fully develop his vocal range that varies from deep rhymes over singing phrases to crowd hyping chants. Throughout the years, MC Fava started to tour Europe, his musical talent allowed for him to perform in various countries, and through this he achieved performances on each continent.
MC Fava is thought to be the first non UK MC to have been on the microphone at the world famous Fabric Club in London. He remains the only German Drum & Bass MC who regularly performs in United Kingdom, the motherland of this music genre. Fava slowly drew the attention of many promoters and also booking agencies one of them: Clinic Talent, the artist agency of Hospital Records, one of the most famous Drum & Bass record labels worldwide. In 2015 Fava exclusively joined Clinic Talent who then were responsible to organize his numerous shows each year.
He has been representing Hospital Records on performances throughout the whole of Europe, touring Australia and New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, South Africa, India and Colombia. Fava hosted the main stages of the biggest festivals in the scene like Let it Roll in Czech Republic, Global Gathering in South Korea, Outlook Festival in Croatia, Balaton Sound in Hungary, Mysteryland and Liqucitiy in the Netherlands, the Street Parade in Switzerland, Pohoda Festival in Slovakia, Kendal Calling in the UK, Sonne Mond und Sterne Festival in Germany or Sun and Bass on Sardinia.
Favas extraordinarily sensible feeling for rhythm and melody made him one of the most demanded MCs in the scene. Although he is a non-native speaker, he has been nominated for an international music award since the last 7 years. The last 5 years he was among the Top 10 Drum & Bass MCs worldwide in the Drum & Bass Arena Awards in London.
Fava is not only a much appreciated host for his live events, he rapidly became one of the go-to artists for quality vocal delivery as well. His voice enriches approximately 100 songs that got released on some the most respected labels in the scene like Hospital Records, Med School, V Recordings, Spearhead Records, Commercial Suicide and Fokuz Recordings. In 2017, Hospital Records released the live recording of the London Elektricity Big Band show at the Pohoda Festival, Slovakias biggest music festival. MC Fava is featured on the recording hosting a 22 piece live band. In February 2019 he released his debut EP on the famous British label Spearhead Records. Work has already begun on his debut album ...stay tuned!

Combine are an upcoming Drum & Bass duo based out of London. Formed from a mutual passion of music, science fiction and video games; Ikarus & Veil came together through the London based events outfit Afterdark back in 2016. Growing through the scene together, Ikarus progressed into a co-ownership of Heavy Signal and a position at the ever rising label, Lifestyle Music. Meanwhile, Veil moved into the world of professional sound design. The two entered the game with their first release Retrograde in March on Lifestyle Music's 2019 Annual, closely followed up by their collab "Riot" with Seattle based producer Klippee.

After broad exposure to Jazz, Salsa, and R&B growing up, Donahue Holland aka Definition: Positive learned to appreciate the deeper side of some of these genres, and how it affects and drives emotion. His passion for music and mixing exploded in the Los Angeles rave scene during the mid 90s, nurturing this new love for electronic music. Once experiencing Drum and Bass, he shifted gears permanently; realizing that this style was the missing part of his musical soul.
Former resident DJ at Nova Express Cafe, Futurebound Radio, LA, and LiquidBass.net, Def Pos became an LA staple representing these unique sounds. Since relocating to Salem, guest appearances have included Bassdrive, Signal Flow Radio LA, DnBTV and countless live performances all around Oregon. Some of these heavy-hitters have included the Bachelors of Science, Artificial Intelligence, Ben Soundscape, ASIDES, Calculon, MC Question Mark, Doc Scott, Bladerunner, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Marcus Visionary, and LTJ Bukem.
Host of the weekly radio show Atmospheriq Tides, Thursdays 9-10pm PST on DNBRadio, and resident artist at JUICE! Drum and Bass nights in Portland, Def Pos delivers soulful grooves and funky baselines with a level of quality and style not to be missed.
