R.A.W.
Los Angeles, CA
++~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~++

Recognized by many including Red Bull Music Academy as the West Coast Jungle Ambassador, R.A.W. (Runs All Warehouses) has been slipping his car out of the driveway to various LA warehouses since the '80s to unleash his musical arsenal. Whether jungle, dubstep, drum and bass, hardcore techno, cumbia, hip-hop, footworkhis DJ bag proclaims a deep appreciation of varied musical styles which he has incorporated into his high energy dj sets.

Some might argue that R.A.W. has been LAs greatest DJ for three decades running. No one has spun music to LAs underground more consistently, more deftly, with more versatility, and to more varied audiences. Long ago, he fused his hip-hop DJ battle techniques to the concept of the musical journey that many popular dance music DJs give lip service to but seldom deliver on. Since 1996, Gonzalez has released a staggering amount of bass heavy music on UK / European labels like Jungle Cakes, Tech:Itch, Dub Shottas, Moonshine, Defrostatica; and American labels Ultra, Warner Bros., Liondub International, Lo Dubs, Elm Imprint and his own Digital 6 label. He also produces tons of sample packs for the legendary Industrial Strength Records from NYC, and recently was asked by Native Instruments Sounds website to produce some hard hitting drum and bass packs. But his main outlet for sample packs can be found on his Bandcamp site, where he constantly blesses the producing community with vital sound packs for use in production and dj sets.

He has adopted several DJ names over the years to describe his varied tastes and sounds. B-Boy 3000 is a futuristic hip-hop/jungle hybrid. 6Blocc is for dubstep / footwork. Xikano is his ragga cambia moniker but, R.A.W. is the name that brought him to prominence all over Southern California, when he tore up the early rave scene by lethally applying his hip-hop scratching techniques to dance music. Since 1995, hes touched down in Russia, Mexico, Venezuela, Guatemala, Japan, UK, Germany, Poland, Czech Rep., Belgium, Italy, Romania and tons of other places around the world of course all the major cities throughout the US.

Recently hes been hired to remix and produce for a varied line up of artists like Snoop Lion, Diplo, Bassnectar, Dj Muggs, Benny Page, Numa Crew, Jon Kennedy, Mr Williams and West Coast rappers Mc Eiht, Big Prodeje, LV and Delinquent Habits Kemo The Blaxican. Currently 6Blocc / R.A.W. is running a limited-run vinyl jungle label called Wheel Up, and with 3 releases sold out since the end of 2017hes looking forward to releasing more quality collectors items for the die hard vinyl junkies.

You can catch 6Blocc/R.A.W. every Wednesday night from 10pm to midnight pacific on the legendary Sub FM internet radio station where you can experience the diversity and excellence from this veteran of bass and jungly music with his vast library of vinyl and digital music.

T.R.A.C.
V Recordings / NYC
++~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~++

Hip-hop and drum and bass have enjoyed a long and close relationship. Over the years we've seen artists like the Jungle Brothers, Method Man, and KRS One grace our rarefied high tempos. In return, the likes of Dynamite, DRS, and Inja have proved more than capable of flexing on a hip-hop beat. However, T.R.A.C. connects those genre dots in a way we've never quite seen before.

As a Brooklyn native, an early education in hip-hop beats and lyricism was almost inevitable. The likes of A Tribe Called Quest, the Wu Tang Clan, and Pete Rock laid out the template, and T.R.A.C. was a keen student. Carving his own niche with flavours of blues and soul added to his undeniable lyrical skill, he became a fixture of the New York underground scene.

Jungle and drum and bass were added to the mix early on. A chance meeting with fellow genre-crossing artist DJ I-CUE eventually led to T.R.A.C. featuring on his first DnB tune. Next Level $hit appeared in 2000, and came loaded with a message of genre unity, a concept that has fueled his movements ever since. For example, his 2011 The Network album was produced by Reinforced Records and 4hero pioneer Marc Mac, so even though it's a straight-up hip-hop album, that junglist influence was close by. With multiple collaborations with UK hip-hop institution Lewis Parker under his belt, it's clear that T.R.A.C.'s connection with the homeland of drum and bass runs deep.

Releases on a succession of soul-driven DnB labels like SGN:LTD, Jazzsticks, and Intrigue paved the way towards a relationship with the V Recordings camp. Of course Bryan Gee and the V crew have always been innovators when it comes to redefining DnB emceeing. T.R.A.C. is a perfect fitjoining in with these jazz vocalists, reggae artists, and hip-hop spitters who are rocking the mic at V events.

2017's Life in Motion album has provided the most detailed insight yet into T.R.A.C.'s musical ethos. With productions from the likes of Lenzman, Bladerunner, Calibre, Serum, and features from David Boomah, Dynamite, and Conrad; T.R.A.C. takes us on a soul-infused journey through his unique blend of DnB and hip hop.

T.R.A.C. is equally capable of replicating those vibes on the live stage as he is in the studio. Dropping precision-tooled lyricism alongside off-the-dome freestyle and well-honed hosting skills, he's brought the hype to parties across the US, the UK, and beyond. As his name suggests, he's here To Rule And Conquer, and as his upward trajectory to global recognition continues, that eponymous prophecy is coming true.

SUBMORPHICS
The North Quarter / US / The Netherlands
++~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~++

Submorphics (Greg Axelrad) has made his name with soul-drenched, deep, emotive, nostalgic yet forward-thinking music. Drawing on eclectic influences from his formative years in Detroit, Chicago and San Francisco, Submorphics' productions have graced iconic Drum & Bass labels like Hospital, Shogun and Metalheadz, displaying a fine-tuned signature sound developed over the last decade. Whether he's chopping up vintage samples or playing all the music himself, his distinct feel for tone and melody have earned him admiration from fans, DJs and music lovers alike.

In recent years, his DJing schedule has increased in Europe and North America, seeing him showcase a heavy and dancefloor friendly soul sound, whilst also drawing the dots between disparate styles of the very best in Drum & Bass.

With his highly acclaimed, 7 track multi-genre 'Detroit Haze' EP out now on Lenzman's North Quarter label, 2018 and beyond is looking to be an exciting time for this unique talent, who now resides in the Netherlands.

LOCAL SUPPORT FROM::

DJ SKILES (WA)
Growing up near Seattle in the 90s, music was always a part of Eric Skiles life. After college Skiles moved to Portland, OR and found the underground rave scene. Immersed in the sounds of the underground, he bought a set of decks, scored a hand-me-down mixer from friends and away he went.

After a short year in Portland Skiles moved to the dance music desert of eastern Washington where he goes to Seattle and Portland parties when he can as well as throwing the occasional one-off parties and running dj nights in bars in the Yakima area. Skiles never lost his passion for the underground and spends most of his time playing drum and bass and house but loves playing any music that moves a dance floor. You may not know what sound to expect from a DJ Skiles set but you know that you will hear music that touches your soul and moves your body.
