Headliner - TIM NORTHERN
Following humorist Tim Northerns appearance as a finalist on the nationally televised Star Search, Naomi Judd raved about his performance. Hes the only one that could be a member of Mensa, she said. I absolutely adore the cerebral humor.
This Nashville native, whose influences are a veritable Whos Who of comic genius. George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Steven Wright I like all of em. Once Tim takes control of the mike, he relies on much the same type of material that those classic comedians used to land in the national spotlight plain and simple, Tim Northern is a word man. And yet, its mainstream humor that everyone understands. Simply put, Tim Northern is punster of the highest caliber.
A lot of people say puns are the lowest form of humor, he admits. Its knowing how to pull em off that makes it work. I basically do set-ups and punch lines. I dont tell stories. I dont try to preach. I dont try to come up with some kind of point of view. Im making fun of words, cleverly disguised puns.

A comedian that explores the bright side of his darkest thoughts with playful, intelligent, autobiographical comedy, Shane Rhyne, turns personal tragedies (and the occasional triumph) into jokes for strangers. Whether he is discussing nervous first steps into his second marriage, parenthood for the first time at 49, or his battles against depression and anxiety, Shane reveals that he is a the glass is only half-shattered kind of guy willing to celebrate the silver lining and the cloud at the same time.
Shane has opened for comedians Emo Philips, Jim Breuer, and Laurie Kilmartin, among others, and he has performed at comedy festivals across the nation. His debut comedy album, The Golden Age of Shane Rhyne, will be released in late summer 2019.

Guest Comedian - ROWAN YOUNG
A rising stand-up comedian, Rowan can be found performing and co-produces at "Friendlytown", a long-running weekly experimental show, and regularly at many venues all over East Tennessee. She also is a favorite at the Pilot Light here in Knoxville. When shes not surprising crowds with her vulnerably honest style of comedy, she works as a preschool teacher.
