Moveable Feast loves Immigrants.

The deep soul of Moveable Feast isn't just thoughtful travel, it's a spirit of soulful intention in our daily lives. We are so delighted to celebrate the people who are creating beautiful things in this world-- whether those things are food, art, or service. Last year, in honor of Anthony Bourdain and thanks to a generous matching donor, the summer popup raised $7000 for NAMI, a mental health and suicide prevention organization in Seattle.
This year, in the midst of horrific news of family separations and inhumane practices on our southern border, our summer popup will benefit RAICES, a Texas nonprofit that provides free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant and refugee families on the Mexican border. This is an organization we believe in wholeheartedly. They are doing difficult, crucial work in communities with few resources. We are fortunate to be able to travel freely and are humbled to remember all the many reasons people must cross borders.
For this summers popup, in anticipation of the upcoming retreat in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Chef Johnny will present a 5 course tasting menu exploring the depth and diversity of Northern Thai flavors. We met Johnny in Thailand, breaking bread over a stranger's table, and that sense of community in unexpected places is the foundation of Moveable Feast.
Flinging your arms open to friends and strangers alike is the deep core of what makes us human. As always, 100% of proceeds will be triple matched by our generous donor and donated directly to RAICES. Good food, good friends and good work: what more can we ask for in life?
