Clayton Theatre Company will open its 8th season with the East Bay premier of The Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein. With music and lyrics by Mel Brooks and book by Thomas Meehan, the musical is an adaptation of the Mel Brooks film of the same name. Young Frankenstein is a 1974 parody of classic horror films such as Mary Shelleys Frankenstein and Son of Frankenstein. There is silliness, sexual innuendo, physical comedy, and a touch of genius in the script and music. This electrifying adaptation of Mel Brooks monstrously funny film will leave you in stitches!
