Georgetown Walking Tour: Georgetown After Dark
Bottoms Up! In May 1962 the sale of Hard Liquor was made legal in DC for the first time since 1917. Thanks to President John. F Kennedy Georgetowns night life exploded with countless new bars including Clydes, Mr. Smiths, The Cellar Door, and Martins Tavern. Join Dwane Starlin*, member of the Guild of Professional Tour Guides and learn all about the bustling night life of Georgetown. Meet at the corner of Q and 27th Streets, NW (by the east garden gates of the Dumbarton House and the tour is start at 6:00 pm sharp. It will take place rain or shine and will last 2 hours. You are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. They are $20; cash or check only on the day of tour.
