Songwriters Night with Avi Wisnia, Rachael Sage, Jeff Campbell and Amanda Penecale
event description:
Aaron Nathans and Avi Wisnia host Songwriters Night, a monthly residency showcasing some of the best local and touring songwriters. Come experience a unique night of songs, storytelling and collaboration in this intimate listening room environment. August's event features Avi Wisnia, Rachael Sage, Jeff Campbell and Amanda Penecale, presented in the round.

About Avi Wisnia:
Award-winning Philly singer-songwriter Avi Wisnia presents an eclectic mix of refreshingly original songs and inventive covers, finding inspiration in Brazilian bossa nova, acoustic American folk, 1950s west-coast jazz and contemporary pop. Wisnia's clever lyrics give a knowing nod to his contemporaries, while his smooth vocals and deft piano skills assure you that this is truly something new. He has performed in prestigious venues around the world from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City to The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC to concerts in Poland, Japan, and Brazil. His latest single "Sky Blue Sky" was recorded via satellite between Philadelphia and Brazil, winning recognition from the Philadelphia Songwriters Project and Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. In addition to being a performing songwriter, Wisnia has also given a TED talk and performed with The Moth storytellers. For more information visit www.aviwisnia.com.

About Rachael Sage:
A soulful vocalist and innovative multi-instrumentalist, award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Rachael Sage is one of the busiest touring artists in independent music, performing 100+ dates a year throughout the US, UK, and Europe. She has earned a loyal following for her dynamic piano playing, delicate guitar work, and improvisational audience interaction. Sage has shared stages with Beth Hart, Howard Jones, A Great Big World, Judy Collins, Shawn Colvin, Marc Cohn, Jamie Cullum, The Animals and Ani DiFranco. Her latest release is PseudoMyopia, an acoustic collection of timely songs focusing on the concept of vision (including narrow-mindedness) in all its many manifestations, touching on topics as varied as government surveillance, environmental protection, and female empowerment. About Jeff Campbell:
Jeff Campbell's onstage experiences have taken him coast to coast countless times and found him sharing stages with John Mayer, members of Counting Crows, The Grateful Dead, and opening for Train. After being crowned winner of Guitar Centers National Singer Songwriter Competition out of over 13,000 entrants, his 2013 EP Release, "In Spite of Everything," produced by 6x Grammy Winner John Shanks, premiered at #1 on the iTunes rock EPs and singles charts, following a performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show.
