Project Bound Dance presents Notified

Join Project Bound Dance at Links Hall October 17th and 18th with a world premiere dance work.

Notified is a collaborative creation by Bound Co-Artistic Directors Emily Loar and Ashley Deran that explores media hyper-consumption and its effects on the individual. The evening will also feature a showing of Project Bound Dances The One Hour Project, a series of one minute dance films created by Chicago choreographers and video artists.

Notified will feature performances by Kathryn Hetrick, Emily Loar, Rachel Molinaro, Sarah Morimoto, Kaela Norwood, Alix Schillaci, and Stephanie Toland. Notified is supported in part by an original sound design by composer Erica Ricketts (New York).

The One Hour Project is an educational experiment in collaboration and concision that gives artists 60 minutes to create a 60 second dance film. Designed as a blind date between choreographers, dancers, and video artists, T1HP seeks to foster community and dialogue across artistic disciplines while encouraging further exploration of unique Chicago spaces. This years featured artists include Laura David, Sam Fink, Kasey Foster, Tate Glover, Breana Jehning, Jordan Kunkel, Robin Lee, Maxine Patronik, Kristan Saloky, Olivia Serrano, and Timothy Tsang.

ABOUT PROJECT BOUND DANCE: Under the direction of Ashley Deran and Emily Loar, Project Bound Dance is a tri-focal dance collaboration fostering community engagement, dance/technology experimentation, and socially conscious performance. Notified will be the first evening-length work choreographed by Deran and Loar as a collaborative team.
