Thursday Throttle: Live Music Showcase
Thursday Throttle is a live music showcase event that presents music from local up and coming artists once a month in a secret location. We support all genres of music and aim to have a diverse crowd to satisfy all of your taste buds. All we look for is that artists show true love and embodiment of their art.
From 11pm on, the mic and stage open for a live music jam session. Come be part of the magic of spontaneity! Bring your instrument or use whats available! The only rule is that all the artists and instruments are treated with the utmost respect and support!
Your donations will be put towards paying for the space and the ins and outs of moving sound equipment. Thank you for supporting the arts!
This months artists are:
Maya Lazaro: Female NYC rapper, singer and producer. A versatile beat maker and artist, her music is varicolored with a lyricism that ranges from abstract, to flexy, to tongue-in-cheek. She most recently released the spooky, minimal "Medium Rare" and backyard bop, "Classy"; precursors to a forthcoming EP.
Isaiah Panther: Inspective soul artist. Lover of texture and immersive soundscape. This producer and singer-songwriter is always breaking the confinement of generic boundaries.
Harris Mac: This multi-genre producer and singer-songwriter draws influences from various genres to create his distinct sound in analog synth pop electro soul trip hop.
Ex Astra: This amalgam of dark wave, psychedelia, IDM and other forms of electronic music creates songs full of pulsing rhythms, haunting vocals and electronic manipulations. Along with each live musical performance is a mystifying ritual dance that explores esoteric, occult and metaphysical themes in an effort to create a compelling live auditory and visual experience.
Michelle Joni presents: Swimming in Rainbows! Featuring the original music off her 2018 debut album produced in LA by Mark Hudson, this show presents the 7-track song journey towards the vision of Permanent ::magical:: Culture. Jonis songwriting, mantra-hook-making, improv style and heavy Beatles influence turns out music that is a fusion of rock n roll, hip hop, gospel and musical theater. Find her album on iTunes, Spotify and everywhere music is... and come see the live visual presentation, Jonis first time performing the full album solo backed by the original tracks! Then, get a small taste of her new improv-parody music project The Broken Promises, as we head into the open mic.
