MUSIC & DRAMA ON SUNDAY: Salon and Potluck Buffet: June 9: 2:30-6:00 p.m.
MUSIC & DRAMA ON SUNDAY is a FABULOUS salon + potluck BUFFET in a BEAUTIFUL midtown Manhattan "penthouse" space on the 41st floor, providing fantastic views of New York City. The Salon features talented singers, actors, instrumentalists, poets, writers and more. A friendly, intimate atmosphere with other culture vultures adds to your enjoyment! NOTE: Trixie the Cat in residence. Presented by Something to Sing About in New York non-profit meetup, Anna Bartos, Founder-Artistic Director: www.annabartos.com

SUNDAY, JUNE 9. 2:30-6:00 p.m. Arrive by 2:30 to insure seating: Limited seating: 25-30.
ENTERTAINMENT begins PROMPTLY AT 3:30 P.M. to 5:00 (approx.). Reception: 5-6-6:30 p.m. (approx.)

THE PROGRAM

MUSIC: Classical, Musical Theatre, Scottish & Irish Folksongs, Sephardic and Latin American songs; Piano Solos;

POEMS: Poems written and read by Peter Valentyne more.

ERIC SEDGWICK WILL BE OUR PIANIST FOR THIS EVENT. See his bio below. *

A POTLUCK BUFFET follows where we all contribute small amounts of appetizers, salads, cheese/crackers/bread, dumplings, something hot to eat, fruit, cookies, etc., and wine+other beverages. Let us know what you would like to contribute to the buffet when you RSVP.

RSVP by May 21, at the latest. Subject to change as space is limited. TELL us if you'd like to bring a guest, but the number is subject to change with multiple RSVPs. About 10 seats are still available, so RSVP-ASAP. There is a waiting list if you miss the deadline, as cancellations may come in.

CONTRIBUTION: $20: Exact amount in cash at the door, OR on Brown Paper website.

Presented by Something to Sing About in New York, a non-profit creative arts cooperative for singers, actors, instrumentalists, poets, etc., of any age and level of experience.

*ERIC SEDGWICK, pianist, has performed with many of musics top talents including Leona Mitchell, Sanford Sylvan and Marni Nixon, Broadway leading ladies Sarah Rice, Carole Demas and Debra Monk, and English hornist Thomas Stacy of the New York Philharmonic. He is a staff vocal coach at the Manhattan School of Music, a staff accompanist for the Tanglewood Music Center, and has served as rehearsal pianist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra, under the batons of Michael Tilson Thomas, Bramwell Tovey, John Williams and Andris Nelsons.
Mr. Sedgwick is a regular pianist for events with the Metropolitan Opera Guild, and has worked for Carnegie Halls Music Education Workshops with Joyce DiDonato, as well as for the International Vocal Arts Institutes in New York and Montreal. He is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music and Brown University.
