You'll find fun and learning for everyone at Gobble-Berry Farmstead's spring event: Kids' Day on the Farm!
Come play on our playground with baby goats, pet and hold baby ducks and chickens, learn how to milk a goat, and more! Plant walks, farm tours, and permaculture-inspired demos are scheduled throughout the day(see schedule below), and Gobble-Berry Farmstead produce samples will be available at the farm booth. Crafts and BBQ will be available for purchase from vendors, or you are welcome to pack a picnic lunch. Keep an eye on our social media pages for more details!
Event schedule:
12:30 pm: spiral garden building demo begins (this will last approximately 2 hours. Feel free to come and go, watch and/or participate as the spiral garden is built)
1 pm: milk-a-goat
1:30 pm: plant walk, guided by local herbalist Nycol Chapman
2:30 pm: farm tour, led by our very own Elisha Somerville
3 pm: milk-a-goat
On-going activities:

- food
- shopping
Ticket options:
- Car pass: are 3 or more event attendees coming in your car? You'll want to go with the car pass.
- Individual ticket: if only 1-2 people are coming in your car, please purchase an individual ticket for every person age 3 years and up.
Please purchase tickets in advance! Tickets will be checked at the gate.
Refunds:
- If you find that you can no longer attend the event, please contact us for a 50% refund up til 24 hours before the event begins.
- If Kids' Day is canceled due to severe weather, we will refund the cost of tickets, minus any fees that were in addition to the original ticket cost.
Parking:
Our parking area is a short walk through a grassy field at Barter Farm to where Kids' Day is located at Gobble-Berry Farmstead. Unfortunately, our farm is not very wheel-chair friendly due to the terrain. If you require a closer parking spot for handicap parking, please let one of our parking attendants know and they can direct your to a spot closer to Gobble-Berry.
Rain or shine:
This is a rain or shine event...except in the case of severe weather (i.e: hurricane, tornado warnings, etc.). If the weather forecast is severe the day of the event, then we will have to cancel.
Smoking:
Please, no smoking at this event! Because of the risk of fire due to hay, dried grass, and animal bedding around the farm, we ask that you do not smoke while on Gobble-Berry Farmstead. If you would like to smoke, please do so in the parking area, ideally in the gravel driveway.
Photo release:
We plan to have an event photographer on site throughout the day. The photos taken at the event will be used on our social media page and for advertising future events. By purchasing tickets to Kids' Day on the Farm, you acknowledge that your photograph may be taken and may end up in an album on Facebook featuring this event. If you would prefer to not have your picture in our album, please let us know, or let our photographer know that you'd prefer not to be photographed. We respect your privacy and will be happy to oblige!
