Impact 101: Swinging for the Fences Safely
When you want to play with impact toys, you just pick up an object and swing, right?
Well, sometimes just swinging away might not be the best use of a toy, or it might even get you in trouble. We're offering this class to examine different kinds of impact play, safety issues with the various kinds of impact play, and tips and tricks for dealing with those stubborn bottoms that it seems you just can't wear out.
Intended for those taking their first steps into impact play, or those just looking for a bit of a review and a different perspective on various types of play, this class will give you an opportunity to learn and hone your skills.
We will spend time in this class on:
* Flogging (Basic Techniques, How to Deal with Heavy Flogging Bottoms and the basics of Florentine)
* Canes
* Paddles
* Dragon Tongues and Similar Single Tongue toys.
* Bare Hand and Body Impact Play
* Making the Most of Impact Play when you aren't built like a body-builder.
Each segment will have opportunities for audience participation and practice, and there will be a period at the end of the class to try out the various techniques discussed in this participation class.
We encourage you to bring whatever toys you want to learn about or share, and we encourage impact bottoms to attend to share your tips and tricks for achieving the best scene possible.
Whether you are someone who feels like you can take everything up to and including the kitchen sink thrown at you, or someone who just likes the soft sensation of a fluffy flogger, all experience levels and interests of bottoms are welcome. Likewise, we will offer opportunities for tops to refine their skills to highlight control and precision with a wide variety of toys.
From our Presenter:
I am Rockinflogger and I have been working on flogging and impact play for nearly 10 years. I've been with many bottoms of differing shapes and sizes and have learned to adapt to their bodies and their likes. I have been working with new bottoms and couples for over 5 years now, showing the many options out there in impact play as well as the safety and pit falls that they may encounter along the way.
I would like to share my skills with you to be able to adapt to all the many bodies you come across. Finding then right combination of impact play options that are out there to help make your session successful and enjoyable for both involved.

This workshop is going to encourage active participation, but we want to make sure we have an educational and comfortable experience for everyone involved. We follow these principals of teaching consent:
No One is required to participate in anything that makes them uncomfortable. If at any time you feel pressure to participate, you should feel free to speak to a representative of the space during or after the class or workshop.
You are not expected to contribute to the discussion in any way if you do not wish to.
The instructor will inform the workshop attendees of anyone working as a teaching assistant bottom, as well as any of their pre-negotiated rules regarding how the bottom will participate to make sure that attendees are given full awareness of consent.
If there is something unclear in the workshop, you are not required to request clarification at the time, if you wish private clarification, the instructor will give contact information so you may get that clarification if needed.
