This workshop will provide attendees with everyday building blocks to create a stronger online presence, and the confidence to actively promote their business and their community to the world!

Topics: The differences between social media platforms and how to use them to your advantage Best practices for your business profiles How to tell your story online - what to post, and what not to post How to communicate with your current customers and reach future/potential customers Tags and hashtags: Their purpose + how to choose and use them Photo tips and tricks and how to come up with ideas for posts How to schedule posts on Facebook How to determine the best time(s) to post Algorithms: What they are, and why not to worry about them Boosting (paying for) posts: When and how to do it What you need to know about influencers and working with them How to offer give-aways and promotions to your communities How to partner with, and cross-promote, other businesses
Come prepared! This two-hour workshop is interactive, so bring your smartphones and laptops! Ideally, your accounts should be set up and ready for you to explore during this discussion. Your smart phone and/or laptop the devices youll be using to manage your social media. Account information: user names, passwords, etc., so you can access your accounts quickly and easily. NOTE: Instagram requires a smartphone for set-up.
What youll receive: An outline of notes and reminders to help with day-to-day social media use. A better understanding of the different social media platforms, and which ones best suit your business. (You do not have to use them all, but youll learn how each of them can benefit you!) Building blocks for a stronger online presence, and the confidence to actively promote your business and your community to the world!
