Power to the Filmmaker: Blockchain for Fundraising, Production and Distribution of Indie Films
More than half of indie filmmakers have been ripped off at least once in receiving initial compensation or backend payments for their films according to WGA East. The film industry is the least transparent in the entertainment sector, in part due to the industries heavy reliance on middlemen.

A new breed of tech startups are using blockchain technology to revolutionize the industry. Some are focused on eliminating middlemen and increasing the ease with which independent filmmakers can raise funds to distribute directly to their fans. Others are focused on using blockchain in production, operations, marketing and awards, eliminating prohibitive costs while ensuring fair and transparent contracts for filmmakers and participants.

Join a panel of tech entrepreneurs and filmmakers using blockchain to revolutionize the film industry.
