As Leaves of One Tree
A concert that spans several world traditions, featuring vocalist Vedad Theophilus with guitars and percussion. A blend of Spanish Flamenco singing with guitar,instrumental pieces with a Classical Guitar Trio, and Classical Persian Music. Vedad sings in Spanish, English and Persian.
Vedad was born and grew up in a Persian family. From a very young age, she had a passion for singing and painting. After the revolution in Iran, she moved to Spain, adopted its fiery culture and expanded her passion to the music of Spain. The Gypsies call her the "Persa Gitana" or Persian Gypsy. After she moved to America, she has had the privilege to study Flamenco music with Flamenco guitarist Bob Clifton.
