From My Head To My Toes - It's My Body!
Early childhood educators, coaches, parents, and friends! Have you wondered how you can teach respect, dignity, and consent to young ones - in an age appropriate way? Coalition For Consent Education (CFCE) has partnered with beloved local puppeteer Penny Walter of Penny's Puppet Productions to offer easy, fun, and memorable ways to incorporate consent into your daily life! Brain science tells us that early childhood experiences set the foundation for our ways of meeting the world. Join us to build a culture of consent!
From My Head To My Toes - It's My Body! is a non-threatening puppet show from Penny's Puppet Productions on the importance of empowering children about their rights around personal boundaries, respect and consent. The puppets sing, dance and find true respect for themselves and others, and by doing so, the world is safer for us all.
This show is geared toward preschool through third grade children - we find children of all ages love Penny's Puppet Productions. All are welcome! This show is wheelchair accessible.
All proceeds from this puppet show directly benefit CFCE.
Advanced tickets are $5 per person, $6 per person at the door. We can only accept cash or Cash App at the door.
{Coalition For Consent Education (CFCE) is a group of teens who are committed to building a culture of consent, one conversation at a time. We believe where there is a culture of consent, sexual violence doesn't exist. CFCE is hosting the Ask First! Consent Education Event with educator Mike Domitrz of The Date Safe Project on April 27th, an event in honor of survivors and supporting Sexual Assault Awareness Month. At the event, Mike will offer skills to unpack bias, prevent and disrupt violence, support and honor survivors, define consent laws and understand the vital importance of enthusiastic consent to create and sustain healthy relationships to protect and respect the dignity of everyone. The April 27th event is recommended ages 12+}
