WordSpring 8th Annual Writers Conference
Poets, fiction writers, and screenwriters, hone your craft and enjoy a day of workshops and fellowship at the 8th annual WordSpring creative writing conference at Butte College on Saturday, April 27!
Work with published authors in from your choice of 16 workshops and leave the conference with work in progress and renewed inspiration.
Keynote speaker and poet Eloisa Amezcua will lead two workshops on poetry writing in addition to poetry workshops led by John LaPine and Ken Letko.
Fiction writers Eric Witchey, Rob Davidson, Tim Hayes, and Zu Vincent offer short story and novel workshops ranging from beginning level to advanced.
Michael Tabb, an LA screenwriter, hosts our first-ever screenwriting workshops.
Join us for a reading and reception, free and open to the public, the evening before the conference on Friday, April 26th.
Take part in an on-the-spot writing contest the day of the conference. Purchase authors books, t-shirts, and mugs while attending, and enjoy breakfast and lunch included in the cost (reduced this year in response to the Camp Fire. Those who lost their homes can attend the event free but must register in advance).
To read about the workshops and presenters in more detail and to register for the event, visit www.buttewordspring.org. We have a limited number of registrations available in person on the day of the conference for an additional $5 each.
