Impromptu Fest
Now in its second year, the Impromptu Fest is a series of 8 concerts featuring 16 different Chicago-based ensembles playing newly composed music.  Impromptu Fest is a showcase for the members of New Music Chicago, an organization dedicated to the performance of non-mainstream and experimental music.

This year Impromptu Fest will be featuring a number of student ensembles in our lineup, and boasts a wealth of multi-media presentations incorporating video, electronics, still images, and live improvisation.

For our second year, we are at the brand-new Guarneri Hall, 11 E. Adams St., 3rd floor, right in the heart of downtown Chicago, which features exquisite acoustic engineering and state-of-the-art equipment in an intimate, 75-seat setting.
