2019 Spring Gala at Park Winters
Join us Sunday, March 17, 2019 to celebrate Yolo County's agricultural bounty at the Inn at Park Winters to benefit the programs of Yolo Farm to Fork. Foods from the farms, ranches and vineyards of Yolo County will be featured at the Park Winters Spring Gala, beginning with local wine and appetizers followed by a 5-course dinner. The elegant event is an opportunity to enjoy a gourmet dinner using fresh local ingredients surrounded by the simple country luxury of the Inn at Park Winters. The start-time is at 4:30pm with an ending time around 7:30pm. The Annual Spring Gala supports Yolo Farm to Fork's three programs - Growing Lunch, Go Visit a Farm!, and Dig In Yolo. Our vision is to bring together farmers, families, individuals and communities to focus on the benefits of making healthy life choices including eating fresh and locally grown food.
Our passions are preserving our agricultural heritage, cultivating a taste for fresh, healthful foods, and sharing the value of eating food straight out of the garden. With lessons that are experiential and interconnected, children will learn the importance of keeping their bodies and minds healthy, what it takes to bring food to their table, and community-building skills and lessons of stewardship of the land. These are the building blocks of community and citizenship.
