With this concert, CoroAllegro invites our audience to explore the beauty of nature through all the senses, beginning with a tour of Winterthur, a 60-acre naturalistic garden designed by Henry Francis du Pont set amidst a 1000-acre preserve of rolling meadows and woodlands. As the gardens close at five oclock, concert-goers will move into experiencing the wonder and majesty of nature through the music of CoroAllegro in the acoustically vibrant Copeland Hall. Following the concert, the Delaware Center for Horticulture invites you back to their building in the heart of Trolley Square for a reception to meet the singers and enjoy the sunset over the gardens.
Cost for the concert is $20 at the door or $18 online in advance. Winterthur garden tours are sold separately through Winterthur for $20. The reception at the Delaware Center for Horticulture is free of charge, and will include snacks and a cash bar.
