Bellevue College Global Game Jam
Who: RISE MakerSpace, ACM-W, Robotics Society, Computer Science Club
When: Friday, Jan 25 (5pm) through Sunday, Jan 27, 2019 (4:30pm)
Where: Bellevue College, N building, N250
What: Come build a game in a weekend at Bellevue College's Global Game Jam site! You do not need previous game development experience to participate. In the afternoon Friday, Jan. 25, we will have pre-workshops on game design and programmingand open gaming too! At 5pm, the jamming begins: we will form teams and start to make games. If you don't have a team, that's okay! We'll help you find a group to work with.
What to bring: Any digital hardware you care to work on--laptops, drawing tablets, audio equipment, etc. We can provide you with internet, a desktop machine running Unity and Unreal, tables/seating, food, and electrical outlets. If you are a table top developer, bring prototyping game pieces and paper, notebooks and game boards. There are no restrictions on what kind of game you can make.
On Friday night you can sleep at the site or head home to your cozy bed and come back in the morning--it's your jam. To prevent bonking, everyone sleeps at home on Saturday night. We'll have good food, and your registration fee covers the cost of all six meals during the event.
Attendees must be at least 18 years of age, although BC students of any age may participate.
