Amanda Ferguson: December
Join chanteuse Amanda Ferguson and pianist Josh Richman as they celebrate the joy and wonder of the holiday season. Featuring classic holiday standards made famous by the likes of Judy Garland and Andy Williams, as well as beloved folk and pop tunes from such artists as Joni Mitchell, Dar Williams, and Stevie Wonder, the duo has cultivated an elegant and inviting evening of music that entices you to embrace all the love and warmth December has to offer.
Thrilled to be back at Pangea, New York City based singer and actress Amanda Ferguson developed her love and skill for interpreting jazz standards, broadway show tunes, and classic pop hits by being exposed to an array of different genres of music as a young girl growing up in Foxboro, MA. Drawn to the beautiful melodies and poignant lyrics of classic musical theater and the Great American Songbook, she was equally influenced by the pop, rock, folk, and even heavy metal music from her parents and older brothers record and tape collections. After graduating with a BFA in Musical Theater from Syracuse University and performing in many musical productions and music venues throughout the New York and the New England area, she found herself yearning to create her own shows where she could share some of her favorite and timeless songs ranging from the 1920s to today. She has since performed at such venues as Cornelia Street Cafe, Joes Pub, Bostonia Public House, and the legendary Mintons Playhouse.
