THE FANTASTICKS -- presented by Walking on Water Productions
THE FANTASTICKSthe longest-running musical in the worldis a funny, romantic story about the seasons of life told through the eyes of a boy and girl who fall in love, grow apart, and find their way back to each other. It is an intimate show punctuated by catchy, memorable songs, many of which have become classics. THE FANTASTICKS is nostalgic while universal, coupled with subtle theatrical sophistication; it is a timeless fable of love that transcends cultural and generational barriers and appeals to diverse populations. Perfect for audience members of all ages!
The production will take place at the Community School of Music and Arts located at 330 East State Street in downtown Ithaca on the following dates:

THE FANTASTICKS features Jack Cecere as MATT, Erin Fitzpatrick as LUISA, Karen Veaner as HUCKLEBEE, Deborah Cobb as BELLOMY, Doug Matthews as HENRY, Joshua Dykes as THE MUTE / MORTIMER, and Benjamin Costello as EL GALLO. The band consists of Jacob Nannapaneni and Jordan Oczkowski with Musical Direction by Benjamin Stevens. The set and costumes are designed by Louise Felker and lighting is designed by Lea Davis. The Production Team includes Patti Goebel (Sound Board Operator), Marin Cherry (Props Master and Assistant Stage Manager), and Bella Mullen (Production Stage Manager). The production is directed and choreographed by Founding Artistic Director Priscilla Hummel. Book & Lyrics by Tom Jones. Music by Harvey Schmidt.
Founded in 2017, WoWs mission is to present engaging, entertaining, and elevating works that stimulate the senses, intrigue the mind, woo the heart, and anchor the soul. WoW provides Tompkins County with professional theatre experiences for the whole family to enjoy together, particularly classic musical theatre productions that keep the love of live theatre, music, and dance alive through the art of storytelling. THE FANTASTICKS marks WoW's second production, following a successful inaugural production of GODSPELL last November.
