Tamir Hendelman Solo Piano Tribute to Rodgers and Hart- PQ Sessions presents: Jazz Plus (Sherman Oaks home concert)
PQ Sessions present: Jazz Plus: Tamir and Friends with special guest guitarist Larry Koonse:
Pianist-composer Tamir Hendelman will present an evening of solo piano
celebrating the Great American Songbook's treasure trove of songs about love
ahead of Valentine's Day- and featuring the music of Rodgers and Hart-
in an artistic Sherman Oaks home featuring a masterfully rebuilt 1924
Louis XV Steinway known as the Purple Queen.
This will be a 90-minute set at 7pm, followed by light snacks and
(non-alcoholic) refreshments. Doors open at 6:30pm.
Pianist Tamir Hendelman is a long-time member of the Jeff Hamilton Trio and Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra and leader of his own trio with two chart-topping releases
and has performed and recorded with vocalists Roberta Gambarini, Natalie Cole, Tierney Sutton and Barbra Streisand. He has performed Rhapsody in Blue with orchestra and has been on the faculty of the University of California Los Angeles since 2005.

The PQ Sessions' Jazz Plus series celebrates the tradition of Jazz music and hopes to introduce audiences to new avenues and artists in the spirit of Jazz, the sound of surprise.
