Carrie Beehan: "Alazon In The Quiet Room - DISPLACED 2"
Part Two of the musical, multimedia-performance about Displacement
by Carrie Beehan

Exploring when Immigrant Artists leave their quiet rooms of contemplation:
Storming into our June shows at Pangea, insulting the dress sense of American men, and then apologizing to them over Fredreich Hollaender tunes. Louisa Bradshaw suddenly remembered she wasnt in a Berlin nightclub!  Louisa, who has been praised by the New York Times for her comedic genius, joins us again for Part Two of our November 12 and 19th shows at Pangea and in this second explosive episode DISPLACED 2; she has more in store!
This new episode colors world events that come in the form of panicked phone calls from Sweden, wisdom on othering from 30 years of transgendering, surviving hiding Political refugees between walls in WWII,  the Great American Jubilee and much more.

Joining our cast for the first time is singer/ songwriter, Charles Duke. So often compared with John Legend, Charles writes music about the human condition and heart.

Also featuring actor/singer Harlem Lafayette, Guitarist & Arranger, David Patterson: Marionette Master Vit Horejs, special guest DJ Cherishtheluv and more.

Coming to Pangea from her August performance of Alazon In The Quiet Room - DISPLACED Part One, at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City, New Zealand-born Carrie Beehan, specializes in musical performance-art. She is described as a mix of Lana Del Rey, and Tom Waits with a riveting, unique, elegant sound. Beehan's debut 1998 electronica album Tryst/Tryst (BMG/Universal) featured on MTV and international radio. Her second album topped online radio charts dueting with legendary funk bassist/vocalist T.M. Stevens  Her Art-Films are included in the 2012 Cannes, Art Video International Film Festival's permanent catalog. Her current album, Alazon In The Quiet Room (BNS Sessions/Cargo Records UK) is co-produced by Oscar & Grammy-winning producer  Robert L. Smith.
