Coastal Concerts at UUFSD presents... Seachange Brass
The good/bad news....our Seachange Concert is completely sold out!!  There are absolutely no tickets available- even at the door.

1/13/2019  Sunday, 6pm
Seachange Brass, Benefit Concert to support instrumental music education in our schools.

Where?
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Dieguito.
1036 Solana Dr, Solana Beach, CA

Its s a Concert!  Please join us for Seachange Brass' premiere performance! The brass quintet, whose members are among San Diego's top musicians, will perform a wide variety of music- including everything from Bach to Bebop!   The performers are top notch, engaging and dedicated to the importance of music education in our schools.  They are truly a treat to hear perform!

Its a Celebration! It was just 20 short years ago that instrumental music education died in the schools in the San Dieguito area; leaving over 25,000 students with next to no instrumental music education programs in their schools.  Luckily, thanks to dedicated groups of parents, teachers, students, and school administrators, things changed in the San Dieguito area. They rallied, worked together and grew quality music programs from the ground up. Thanks to these efforts, music education is thriving in the San Dieguito area today. And, it all started in the Solana Beach School District!

It's a Reunion!  Although the concert is open to everyone, UUFSDs Coastal Concerts would like to extend a special invitation to those that helped return music education to the schools in the San Dieguito area.   Current students, alumni, parents past and present, educators, school administrators, Foundation to Advance Music Education members, AIM, B&G Club of San Dieguito Music Program, Byrds of Prey Members, School District Band Boosters, private teachers, volunteers and more. please join us!  Its time to celebrate the great successes of our school music programs.  Just think of all of the lives that have been touched. It is estimated that over 50,000 students have participated in the music programs since we cumulatively brought it back into the curriculum of SDUHSD.

Its a Cause!  School districts continue to face difficult funding decisions and school music programs operate with limited funding. The musicians that comprise Seachange recognize these challenges and have formed Seachange to support school music programs throughout San Diego County. They donate their performance and workshop fees to help grow instrumental music programs within San Diegos schools.

Consistent with the UUFSD Coastal Concert tradition, a portion of all ticket sales will be donated to music programs in the San Dieguito area as well as to Seachange Brass in order to help underwrite assemblies in San Diego County Schools that are unable to offer instrumental music education to their students.  Please help us, help Seachange grow further successes in the advancement of music education in our schools.

Please join us and attend wonderful benefit concert that will not only have wonderful music- but also serve to honor those that helped us bring instrumental music education back to students in the San Dieguito area.

Who is performing?

SeaChange Brass- is a group of talented musicians and teachers that are dedicated to helping school districts return instrumental music education to their schools.   Founded by Frank Glasson, a local from Solana Beach and FAME's original Band Director, the group performs a variety of styles of music and brought together a group of talented musicians and teachers.

SeaChange Brass will use the highly successful model that is in place at the Solana Beach School District after-school band program that we have been directing for 15 years. The ultimate goal of performing at these schools is to motivate and facilitate new band programs at elementary schools that do not have music in their schools.

All the members of Seachange Brass are amongst San Diego's top music educators, and musicians that are wholeheartedly committed to music education, and performing at the highest level.
