Baroquelyn Winter Concert
To warm us up in the dead of winter, we switch out the harpsichord for the cozier sound of a chamber organ. The program will feature the rich and fiery colors of trumpet and oboes, as renowned trumpeter Louis Ranger and his sister Nancy Ranger join forces with Jason Smoller to perform Telemanns joyful concerto for trumpet and two oboes.
Also on the program are Bachs cantata Gott soll allein mein Herze haben featuring countertenor Jeffrey Mandelbaum and a delightful organ obbligato, and Handel's well-loved trumpet suite. Plus violinist Georgy Valtchev, and Martin Bernstein and Daphna Mor on recorders, on the charming Brandenburg #4!
