The Gary Stroutsos Ensemble will explore their own arrangements of the timeless songs of Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues, King Crimson, Traffic along with traditional UK British Folk music themes and spoken word. International recording artist Gary Stroutsos grew up with the flute sounds of Ian Anderson and Ray Thomas, and these influences became the foundation for his long-standing career with world flute sounds.
Tony Garone has lead his own progressive rock band in NYC for over 40 years and has had the honor of performing an original composition on stage with Ian Anderson during Ian's "Rubbing Elbows" tour.
Gary met Tony Garone at a Jethro Tull convention where he heard Tony perform the classic Jethro Tull song, "Look Into The Sun". At that moment, Gary knew that Tony was the artist that he wanted to collaborate with. The duo went into the studio to record the album, "Forest Dance" which revealed their unique vision of Jethro Tull's acoustic songs.
