Gestalt Therapy Film & Theory Discussion
We will be presenting a Gestalt Relationship Therapy Film with Dr. Bob Resnick on Friday, January 14th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

After a brief theory introduction, Dr. Resnick will screen a 30-minute unedited
individual therapy film. The film consists of a real session with a real client working
with a real therapist on real issues and in real time. Following the screening we will
open up the event for comments, questions, comparisons, and discussion about both
the clinical work and the theory  with an emphasis on relating theory to practice
hopefully enriching both. Dr. Resnick welcomes different points of view and supports
people integrating what is useful from our personal and cultural histories. Similarities
and differences are both welcome. Please bring your openness to consider and
(importantly) your sense of humor.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Robert W. Resnick, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist, has been a Gestalt and Couples Therapist and an
international Gestalt Therapy and Couples Therapy trainer for over 55 years. Mentored and certified by Drs. Fritz Perls, he is still (barely) the youngest of the old timers. Proudly, Dr. Resnick was chosen by Perls to introduce Gestalt Therapy to Europe in 1969, where he has been presenting Gestalt and Couples training workshops primarily in Europe 16-18 weeks annually since that time. In 2019, he was awarded the APA Division 29 (Psychotherapy) Distinguished Award for the International Advancement of Psychotherapy. He has chapters in the Sage Encyclopedia of Counseling and Psychotherapy (2015) on both Gestalt Therapy and Fritz Perls and his chapter Contemporary Gestalt Therapy appears in the forthcoming APA Handbook of Psychotherapy. He has produced a series of contemporary ndividual Gestalt Therapy and Couples Therapy films with Rita Resnick, Ph.D.. Information is here: www.acoupleofindividuals.com.

This is a great opportunity to meet and learn from internationally known experts.  Please forward this announcement to friends, colleagues and anyone that might be interested in this event.
