BenRiach Distillery Four-Course Scotch Dinner

Canoe is pleased to host The BenRiach Distillery on Thursday, August 16, for an intimate four-course experience. Chef Matthew Basford has crafted a seasonal, coursed menu that will be paired with scotch cocktails as well as scotch, neat. The evening will begin with passed appetizers at 6:30 pm and dinner will begin at 7:00 pm. Global Brand Ambassador, Stewart Buchanan, will be onsite to guide diners through the scotch tastings for the evening. Tickets are $110 per person and include tax and gratuity.

STEWART BUCHANAN, GLOBAL BRAND AMBASSADOR
In 1993, Stewart Buchanan began work as a Stillman at Tobermory Distillery. There he learned production skills and helped maintain the engineering side of the distillery. In 2004, he joined BenRiach to help restart the distillery, which had been closed since 2002. Stewart moved between all aspects of the industry, becoming Production Manager in 2006.

In 2012, he moved into the Global Brand Ambassador role, traveling to markets across the world, hosting tastings, attending whisky events and working with the media. With his production background, Stewart likes to explain the different process techniques and how they make the whisky unique. Additionally, Stewart remains heavily involved in cask analysis, stock evaluation, single cask selection and the writing of tasting notes for all expressions across our three distilleries.
