About Face - Jimmy Fortune Benefit Concerts

Country music star and former member of the popular, award-winning Statler Brothers will perform two concerts to benefit the World Craniofacial Foundation at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Ho-Chunk Gaming, S3214 Hwy. BD in Baraboo. Joining him will be multiple-year Fiddler of the Year award winner Lacie Carpenter.

Since 1989, the World Craniofacial Foundation (WCF) has been providing access to innovative surgical care for children and adults with abnormalities of the head and face, including cash and in-kind support for transportation, lodging, meals and other ancillary needs of patients and their families as they pursue treatment. The nonprofit organization also offers emotional support, education, advocacy, research funding, and fellowships for physicians undergoing advanced craniofacial training.

Jack Accola, Prairie du Sac resident and recipient of support from the WCF for craniofacial surgeries he has undergone, is spearheading the organization of the benefit concerts with a group of volunteers. After all the organization has done for me, Accola said, I have felt compelled to help raise money for the WCF and assist others through various fundraising efforts throughout the years. I hope these concerts on September 29, which will combine nationally known entertainers and support of local sponsors and volunteers, will appeal to a large audience. Its all for a good cause thats close to my heart.
