Red Beard Brigade Presents The First Fridays Concert Weekend at DFV
The Red Beard Brigade has been bringing original Texas Red Dirt music to the WineRocks! stage in Central Illinois at Daneneberger Family Vineyards all summer and is ready to close out the 2018 series with a great weekend of live, original music! Just outside of Springfield, The WineRocks! venue at DFV is located in New Berlin, IL. The venue offers award winning wine, craft and regular brews. Local food trucks that will be on hand for the weekend.
The weekend starts off at 6:00 p.m. Friday with Springfield's own Micah Walk opening up for The Dirty River Boys who are bringing their blend of Texas-Punk and Americana. The Red Beards have traveled all over the country to see these guys and we can't wait for our hometown to experience them. This show will be high energy and you will want to be sure to have your dancing shoes on.
Saturday has a trio of bands starting at 4:00 p.m. with Central Illinois' Sampson Jones Gang followed by Dalton Domino and then Cody Canada and the Departed rounding out the night. Hailing from Lubbock, Texas, Domino sounds like "a more sensitive Steve Earle" according to Rolling Stone. Cody Canada and the Departed bring their style of Texas Country back to the Springfield area with the release of a new album called "3". This will be Cody's first return to New Berlin since the now infamous Cross Canadian Ragweed "mudbowl" show at the Sangamon County Fair!
We close the weekend down Sunday with an awesome evening of music starting off at 4:00 p.m. with an acoustic set by Joe Stamm from the greater Peoria area. Joe brings his own style to country music with very relatable songwriting. Kody West takes the stage after Stamm. According to many, the album, and Kody, are a perfect blend of Country and Rock and Roll. Shane Smith and the Saints are ready to come into Central Illinois and knock our socks off again with their haunting four-part harmonies. From the beautiful fiddle playing throughout the show to rowdy, foot stomping songs, they will leave you wanting more!
One wristband gets you access to the shows on all three days. Limited tickets are available, and the price includes all processing fees. Show your ticket at the door to obtain your wristbands and be ready to have a great time!
