Revolt Hangout
Hey Rhode Island! Come and hang out with Health Care Revolt after a long day working with patients, studying for a medical exam, or just to have a couple of drinks of wine while listening to music. We had a great fundraising event in Spring and we want to keep the momentum going! It is only $10 dollars to get in and it will cover 2 drinks of your choice, hors doeuvres, music, and hanging out with other health care professionals that know what the healthcare industry is all about.
We want you to be heard and not get consumed by the crazy healthcare business. Let us hear your story, work experience, give advice, and be up to date on the latest about your local community. Healthcare Revolt cares, so please come and hangout with us and share your knowledge.
Healthcare Revolt is a Rhode Island organized effort in partnership with the George Wiley Center to build a health care system that is for people, not profit. We are organizing health care workers and RI citizens to fight for better patient care in their hospitals, community health centers and practices. We want to build systems of care in each Rhode Island community that are run by and for community members. This includes a plan to provide public, free primary health care for every single Rhode Islander. Weve already begun in Central Falls where Michael Fine M.D., former director of the Department of Health, has partnered with Blackstone Valley Community Healthcare Inc. to produce the first U.S. population-based primary care establishment that serves an entire neighborhood.
*Non-alcoholic options will be available for folks who prefer not to drink.*
