Kantuz: Chicago Flamenco
KANTUZ's hybrid flamenco-classical-jazz meets flamenco dancer Leticia Aravena and breakdancer Ed Clemons in a performance that looks back and forward into the past and future landscapes of flamenco.
KANTUZ make modern arrangements of traditional flamenco pieces and pieces from the Spanish classical repertoire by Albeniz, Rodrigo, de Falla, Lorca, and others. Kantuz are Rafael Vivanco on guitar, Nils Higdon on percussion, Mitchell Straeffer on double bass and Amaia Gabantxo on vocals.
