Temporary Resonance
Terrie Baune- violin Carol Jacobson - cello John Chernoff - piano
Temporary Resonance is back for the second time to TBAM! Comprised of Carol Jacobson, conductor of the Eureka Symphony, Terrie Baune, concertmaster of the ESO and John Chernoff, on staff at Humboldt State University, this piano trio embodies the excellence TBAM applauds in its search for groups with one-degree distance from Humboldt County.
Terrie Baune is concertmaster of the Eureka Symphony and the North State Symphony, and co-concertmaster of the Oakland Symphony. She is a member of the professional new-music ensembles Earplay and New Music Works, and Associate Director of the Humboldt Chamber Music Workshop at Humboldt State University.
An accomplished cellist, Ms. Jacobson earned her bachelors degree at Humboldt State University, with further studies at the Salzburg Mozarteum, The Royal Danish Conservatory and the Netherlands Royal Conservatory in The Hague. She was a member of the Netherlands National Ballet Orchestra in Amsterdam, the Netherlands Radio Symphony, the Oslo Opera Orchestra and the Netherlands Strijkers Ensemble. Last summer she performed with Paula Thomas at the "Petit festival de Loye," France.
John Chernoff has been an active pianist in a variety of musical genres, performing across the United States, including appearances at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, and Symphony Space in New York City. John has also served as an accompanist for the Heifetz International Music Institute, coach for the Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop, Humboldt Chamber Music Workshop and soloist with the Eureka Symphony. He lights the audience on fire.
