The Hollower
New Light Theater Project presents THE HOLLOWER, by Liza Birkenmeier, and directed by Kristy Dodson.
Otto is visited by an investigative podcaster who is half-pig, half-man. She also has a teenaged houseguest who is making a claymation film about seventeenth century witchcraft in her kitchen. the hollower is a comedy about the perils about having a body in a repressed, imperialist, moralistic world.
The cast includes Patrena Murray* as Otto, Reyna de Courcy* as Bit, Samuel Im as Wilkin Rush George III, Ryan Wesley Stinnett as Pigman and ToniAnne DiFilippo as Missy.
The production team will include Scenic Design by You-Shin Chen, Costume Design by Max Archimedes Levitt, Lighting Design by Carolyn Wong, Sound Design by Andy Evan Cohen, Props Design by Leila Ben-Abdallah, Stage Management by Lindsey Hurley, Assistant Stage Management by Cafega Haynes-Rodriguez, Technical Direction by ToniAnne DiFilippo, Casting by Courtney Knysch, and Press Representation by Karen Greco.
NEW LIGHT THEATER PROJECT New Light Theater Project (NLTP) is an ensemble-driven theater company. We strive to capture the Little Theater Movement (artistry over commerce; producing new and classic works) in the NYC indie theater community.
To accomplish this:
We place our ensemble at the center of the process, where all members, regardless of artistic role, bear weight and voice to the stories we select to tell.
We devise and develop new work, bring classical texts and revivals to life, and create a spirit of community in our theatrical collaborations.
