I Never Saw Another Butterfly
I Never Saw Another Butterfly, written by Celeste Raspanti, is a poignant musical about the children and families of Terezin, a Jewish ghetto in Czechoslovakia under Nazi rule during WWII. Though few of the children survived, over 5,000 drawings, poems and writings were saved so that their story could never be forgotten. The story centers around one of the surviving children, her family, teachers, and fellow prisoners of Terezin. Directed by Kim Taylor, the show features selections from poetry written by the Jewish children in the ghetto, and beautifully moving music.
